My name is Jacoby and I'm from the state of Oregon, U.S.A. About 11 years ago, I was going through some difficult times in my life and felt I needed a change. I decided to travel abroad, hoping to experience life from a different perspective. I ended up selling most of my possessions to fund a year-long backpacking and humanitarian trip abroad. It led me on an amazing trip volunteering with YWAM in multiple countries like the Philippines, Australia, Singapore and India.
After returning to the US I went back to school to study teaching English as a second language, and finished with a TESOL certification. I knew I wanted to continue traveling abroad, exploring other cultures and experiencing first hand the importance of connecting with people from all walks of life.
In 2016, I created my Youtube channel to help share video content I film on these journeys abroad. Through them I've been able to share information about the places I go and how anyone can go there too, while preferably traveling with minimal expense.
Now in 2022, I continue these travels, while also documenting new trips or gear reviews to share with like minded people. I believe that traveling and getting out of your comfort zone is extremely important, and completely life changing. The things that I have seen and experienced in these last 10 years are priceless. I hope to encourage others to do the same, and I challenge you to travel more; it could be the best decision of your life.
