Volunteer travel

Picture
One of my favorite things about travel is the opportunity to meet new people and offer my abilities and experience to help them when possible. There are so many ways to serve others and give back to those in need, the possibilities are endless. One of my goals with this website is to show some of they ways anyone can do this; everyone has SOMETHING to offer and giving your time to help others
is one of the most rewarding things in life. Here are some of the things I've had the privilege to participate in, and I will continue to build on this page, so check back if you are interested in learning more about places you can go and the things you can do to help others as well.

Volunteering in India with YWAM Whitsunday

This was a two month humanitarian/mission trip with the organization YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Whitsunday. We spent our time serving in local churches, helping with construction/painting projects, teaching English, and spending time with locals that they refer to as "the untouchables" that live in VERY unsafe/unhealthy living conditions. It was an amazing (and very challenging) time, and it honestly gave me a different perspective on life. As cliche as it might sound, it changed me forever. If you are considering going to India to travel or volunteer, I would definitely encourage you to go. There are so many ways to volunteer there, and it will change you as well! Here is a link to YWAM Whitsunday if you are interested in learning more about their programs and the opportunities to serve with them.
